BARK.

I am a one year old Golden Retriever gal. I love playing with sticks, dancing with my humans, and I almost always have a toy in my mouth. My brother Noah is my partner in crime who I love to bug. My tail has a mind of it's own and has a tendency to knock things over or wag in my brothers face. I am very gentle and soft. A rare barker, when I do let out a ruff it usually catches my parents by suprise. My humans are my main squeezes. Dad is my number one but I'm always checking in on mom. They both have taught me tricks that I love to do with them. Huge fan of carrots and balancing them on my nose. Master of the patience challenge. Most of all I love being a part of life's adventures. From learning not to be afraid of beach waves and digging in the sand. Thrifting with mom or doing yard work with dad. To pouncing in white clouds of snow. I live for all of the love.

TRAINING

Our hope for our golden girl is to have her be a part of an organization that can help others. We have yet to decide what that organization is and what type of therapy training she would need. We have thoughts of what we would want to be a part of becuase there are some that hold a special place to us personally and for that reason would make the experience even more special. The idea behind animals helping us humans has always been a great inspiration of mine. Growing up around all sorts of animals and being an animal lover, I have personally experienced moments where as something as simple as a pet or glance can affect the emotions of us humans. Knowing that animals ranging from turtles and fish, birds and rabbits, to dogs and horses have brought me so much joy I would love to give that joy to others. I do believe that Wednesday would love to do that as well being that she is so gentle, kind, and so patient.

As of now she is basic command trained. Also with some tricks up her sleeve of shake, high-five, nose kiss, and her favorite, roll over in which she gets belly rubs. Teaching her things is on-going, in which she is eager to learn.

So what does this mean? Currently Wednesday is just along for the ride. She may accompany us on sessions and roam around with us out in nature. She's here to make you smile and giggle becuase she can be a goof. Having her around definitely lightens the mood and creates a comfy setting.
